Calix B6 - Rebooting an ONT

This process is for Occam ON23xx/ON24xx ONTs. See the last section for a method for Calix 7xx ONTs.

1. After you have identified the customers b6 port, log into the b6 that the customer is connected to. Run a show associations command from user mode or enable mode. You should see a similar output to the one below. Identify the IP address to the customers ONT.

2. SSH into the IP address of the customers ONT. (Default username: cli Default Password: occam). Enter enable mode with the following command:

enable

(Enable Password: razor)

3. From enable mode, enter the command reload. This will reboot the customer ONT.

Quick Mode for B6 with Calix 7xx ONTs:

Log into the B6 blade.
Go to the Ethernet port.
Turn off the Ethernet port for 15 seconds.
1. This causes the ONT to lose incoming light and triggers the Calix 7xx ONT to perform a reboot after 10 seconds.
